"Premam" - Birthday edition
DESIGN INSPIRATION- Will there be another one like this watch ? This was my first impression after I stepped out of the screen years ago when this movie released.
While the movie is about the coming of age of a high school chap, the one element that caught my attention was the impeccable cinematography that had it's own story to tell. One of butterflies prancing about in and out of their relationships with flowers and their kin.
For every high and low moment in this movie, there is a butterfly taking flight or alighting on a flower. The magic those shots had was something I wanted to rekindle in this cake.
Since the cake was commissioned for a private birthday event and no particular design was briefed to me, I took the liberty to make a movie inspired cake.
FLAVOUR PROFILE- Vanilla milk cake with Strawberry filling
DESIGN - The marble finish has been achieved with buttercream.Wafer paper has been used to create the delicate butterflies that were hand painted and air dried. The embellishment has been done in chocolate and painted with edible gold.
